We now provide cleaning and disinfecting services to allow industrial and commercial facilities to continue operations while reducing the risk of spreading the Novel Coronavirus SAR-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
General Information
We perform disinfection services in low exposure environments in conformance with the disinfection protocols outlined in the OSHA document “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19,” as well as updated recommendations from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control).
There is still a lot that is unknown about COVID-19, such as how different conditions, such as exposure to sunlight, heat, or cold, can affect coronavirus survival times. As we learn more about this strain of Novel Coronavirus, we will update our work practices and protocols as necessary.
Disinfecting a Defined Space, Including by Chemical “Fogging”
Customer-identified surfaces or spaces are first cleaned with either disinfectant or detergent and water, then the surfaces are disinfected with an EPA Listed disinfectant tested to show effectiveness at killing Coronavirus at a rate of 99.99%. The disinfectant requires a 10-minute dwell or activation time to be effective. Follow-up fogging of the designated areas can be provided as an extra layer of protection if requested.
Cleaning of Frequently Touched Surfaces
Cleaning of frequently touched surfaces in offices and jobsites can include desks, countertops, shelves, file cabinets, doors, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, etc. as requested by the customer. These surfaces are disinfected with an EPA Listed disinfectant tested to show effectiveness at killing Coronavirus at a rate of 99.99%.
Cleaning Products Utilized
There are currently no EPA-registered disinfectants specifically targeting the Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). However, human coronaviruses such as COVID-19 are enveloped viruses, which are the easiest viruses to kill. The EPA and CDC state that if an antimicrobial product can kill a small, non-enveloped virus such as Rhinovirus and Norovirus, it should be able to kill any enveloped virus. We can provide more information about the EPA Listed disinfectants that we utilize upon request.
